Students
MEDLIFE holds a firm belief that college-age students have both the power and the responsibility to help improve the lives of the poor. Consequently, we seek to involve student in all aspects of our work, empowering them to make a difference in the world and providing preparation for future careers in international development and global health.
While our aid operations are always directed by medical professionals and trained staff, MEDLIFE Student members form the backbone of our organization. MEDLIFE Student Chapters host fundraisers for MEDLIFE Fund development projects, and provide education to members on global health and development topics. Student volunteers play an important role in delivering Mobile Clinic services to communities in Ecuador, Peru, and Panama. The MEDLIFE Student Advisory Board, composed of the most dedicated and hard-working student members, coordinates the activities of all our MEDLIFE chapters. Our Expansion Team helps MEDLIFE reach new schools worldwide. For those students who wish to gain hands-on experience in our aid work, MEDLIFE hosts selective summer and year-round internships in Latin America.
Our Mobile Clinics and MEDLIFE Fund projects simply would not happen if it weren't for the efforts and dedication of MEDLIFE student members. MEDLIFE's history and development as an organization is rooted in the stand-out commitment of motivated students, and we plan to continue to involve, empower, and train student leaders for years to come.
