How much does participating in a MEDLIFE project cost?
Participants
pay for personal airfare plus a participation donation:
One Participant for 2 weeks: $850*
One Participant for 1 week: $650*
A registration portion of $100 is not refundable unless the project
is cancelled.
*The actual
cost of the mission is around $1250 per person, but thanks to some very
committed volunteers who work with MEDLIFE we are able to charge $850/$650
for a participation fee. Thanks to these volunteers we are able to offer
some scholarship to students.
What does this donation cover?
This donations covers
room and board in Ecuador and transportation
in Ecuador. There are no other (or very limited) costs associated with
the trip except for buying souvenirs, exit fee from the airport and
other spending money (ie. to use the internet, calling home, a couple of meals (typically around $5) etc).
