Student Board
Student Advisory Board
The Student Advisory Board of MEDLIFE is intended to give students who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the goals of MEDLIFE and service to low income families a greater opportunity for responsibility within the organization. These responsibilities include being part of the MEDLIFE expansion team working to start new chapters across the country, working on a committee of students to help individual patients with special needs in Ecuador to receive the treatment they need, advising the executive board on student related involvement and to have the opportunity to intern in Ecuador. Students are invited to be part of the Student Advisory Board for one academic year. There will be an opportunity for students elected to the student board to have an internship in Ecuador. In some situations there may be financial support to help a student participate in a MEDLIFE internship. Students must be elected to the Student Advisory Board. Any student who has previously worked with MEDLIFE is eligible to apply but only the most committed students will be successful applicants. Ideally students have already taken positions of leadership at their University and have demonstrated a commitment beyond that expected of a student officer. Once accepted to the SAB students are asked to join a committee. The committees include, the Membership, Brigades and Fundraising Committees.
